POLITICS: Danji SS Campaign Appoints Young JP Deputy DG, Southern Zone.

The Campaign Organisation of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Hon. Danjuma Shiddi, popularly known as Danji SS, has appointed Mr. Samaila Yakubu, also known as Young JP, as Deputy Director General (DDG), Southern Zone.

The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Director General of the Danji SS Campaign Organisation, Prof. Ambrose A. Zemba.

Zemba described Yakubu as a youthful and committed politician, as well as a businessman with experience in political organisation, grassroots mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and community relations.

According to him, Yakubu’s knowledge of the political terrain, extensive networks and youthful energy would contribute significantly to the campaign’s efforts to establish a strong and inclusive statewide structure.

In his new role, the statement said, Yakubu would work with the Director General and other members of the Campaign Council to coordinate campaign activities across Taraba’s Southern Zone.

He is also expected to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, deepen engagement with stakeholders and facilitate the dissemination of the campaign’s vision, programmes and messages to communities across the zone.

The campaign organisation said the appointment reflected its commitment to competence, inclusiveness, youth participation and effective grassroots coordination.

While congratulating Yakubu on his appointment, Zemba wished him wisdom, strength and success in the new assignment.

The appointment is expected to add momentum to the Danji SS campaign’s efforts to expand its political structure and strengthen grassroots engagement across Taraba State.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
