POLITICS: APGA Names Prof. Ambrose Zemba Campaign DG for 2027 Taraba Governorship Election.

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Taraba State for the 2027 general elections, Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi, popularly known as Danji SS, has appointed Professor Ambrose Zemba as Director-General (DG) of his campaign organisation.

Professor Zemba will also serve as the Director-General of the APGA Campaign Team for the 2027 general elections in the state.

Shiddi, who announced the appointment in a statement, described Zemba as a seasoned academic, respected community leader and a man of proven experience and capacity.

He expressed confidence that the new campaign DG would deploy his wealth of knowledge, leadership skills and experience to strengthen the party's campaign machinery and advance its vision for a better Taraba State.

“Professor Zemba is a seasoned academic, respected community leader, and a man of proven experience and capacity,” Shiddi said.

According to him, the appointment is part of efforts to build a stronger and more effective campaign organisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The APGA candidate congratulated Zemba on what he described as a well-deserved appointment, while wishing him success in the new responsibility.

He added that further details about the campaign DG's profile and background would be released by his media team in due course.

The appointment comes as political activities intensify in Taraba State ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political parties and candidates beginning to strengthen their structures and campaign teams.

Shiddi urged party members and supporters to rally behind the new campaign leadership as APGA prepares for the electoral contest.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
