POLITICS: APGA Grassroots Mobilisation Group Intensifies Outreach for Hon. Abubakar Barde in Takum, Donga, Ussa, and Yangtu Federal Constituency.

The APGA Grassroots Mobilisation Group has stepped up its outreach across the constituency ahead of the campaign kick-off for the 2027 general elections, rallying support for the party’s candidate, Hon. Abubakar Barde.

In a statement issued over the weekend, the group described Hon. Barde as a candidate with the requisite credentials, competence, and capacity to bring about a much-needed paradigm shift in the constituency.

According to the group, Barde’s strong grassroots appeal and wide acceptability remain his greatest social currency across the three local government areas and the development area attached. They noted that he is not a stranger to the people, having spent years working directly with communities and building trust at the grassroots.

“Hon. Barde represents the face of hope and transformation. He has consistently groomed young leaders, facilitated employment opportunities for our youths, and provided financial grants and support to traders and small business owners,” the statement read.

The mobilisation group further emphasized that the constituency needs a representative who understands its challenges and has a proven record of service delivery, not just promises.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
