OSUN: Tinubu Hails Adeleke’s Osun Victory, Says It Reinforces Nigeria’s Democratic Culture.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election, describing the victory as a strong indication that democracy will continue to flourish in Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu said he had earlier called Governor Adeleke to congratulate him on his electoral victory.

The President said the outcome of the election demonstrated the confidence the people of Osun State had placed in Adeleke and urged the governor to use his renewed mandate to unite the people and pursue the development of the state.

“I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years,” Tinubu said.

He urged Adeleke to reach out to all residents of Osun State, irrespective of their political affiliations or choices during the election, and rally them towards growth, stability and socio-economic progress.

“Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election,” the President said.

Tinubu also commended other candidates who contested the election, praising their courage and discipline and noting that their participation contributed to the strengthening of Nigeria’s democratic culture.

According to him, the outcome of the election reflected the will of the electorate and provided further assurance that democratic governance remains firmly rooted in the country.

“The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land,” he said.

The President further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for what he described as a peaceful and transparent electoral process that produced a clear winner.

He expressed confidence that the renewed mandate would enable Governor Adeleke to consolidate efforts towards the development and prosperity of Osun State.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.
