The Accord Party’s 2023 governorship candidate in Taraba State, Professor Jerome Nyameh, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the just-concluded governorship election.
Nyameh, in a congratulatory message, described Adeleke’s victory as a triumph for the electorate and a validation of the power of the people to determine their political leadership through the ballot.
“Ademola Adeleke won, Accord won,” Nyameh declared, congratulating the Osun State governor on his electoral victory.
The Accord chieftain also commended the people of Osun State for making their choice at the polls, saying their votes had spoken clearly.
He particularly thanked supporters of the Accord Party and its candidate for what he described as their steadfastness in defending their votes despite alleged intimidation, pressure and political manoeuvring during the electoral process.
According to Nyameh, the outcome of the election demonstrated that the collective will of the electorate could prevail despite political challenges.
“This victory is a powerful reminder that when the people stand together, their will cannot be silenced,” he said.
Nyameh further congratulated Adeleke and members of the Accord Party, describing the outcome as a moment of celebration for the party and its supporters.
He urged political stakeholders to respect the choice of the electorate and work towards strengthening Nigeria’s democratic institutions and electoral processes.
The statement was signed by Professor Jerome Nyameh, Accord governorship candidate in Taraba State.
