ACCIDENT: NBA Jalingo Commiserates With Jos Branch Over Football Team’s Accident En Route to NBA AGC.

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Jalingo Branch, has expressed solidarity with the NBA Jos Branch following a motor accident involving members of its male football team while travelling to Port Harcourt for the NBA Annual General Conference (AGC) Tournament.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the NBA Jalingo Branch, Dr. Daniel P. Saredau, Esq., and the Publicity Secretary, L.L. Takdok, Esq., the branch said it received the news of the accident with “profound shock and deep concern.”

The Jalingo Branch, however, expressed gratitude to Almighty God that no life was lost in the unfortunate incident.

The branch extended its sympathy to the injured lawyers, their families, as well as the leadership and entire membership of the NBA Jos Branch, describing the incident as a difficult and anxious moment for the affected colleagues.

“We fervently pray for the speedy, complete, and miraculous recovery of all our colleagues receiving medical attention,” the statement said, while asking God to grant the injured lawyers divine healing, comfort and restoration.

The NBA Jalingo Branch also prayed for the continued safety of the remaining members of the Jos delegation and other lawyers travelling to and from Port Harcourt for the NBA AGC.

It assured the Jos Branch of its “fervent prayers, unwavering solidarity, and fraternal support,” stressing that Jalingo Branch stands firmly with its colleagues during the period of trial.

The statement reaffirmed the spirit of professional brotherhood and solidarity that binds members of the Nigerian Bar Association, particularly in moments of adversity.

The NBA Annual General Conference, one of the association’s major annual gatherings, brings together lawyers from across Nigeria for professional, academic, social and sporting activities.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
