The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has inaugurated the party's Taraba State Secretariat in Jalingo, calling on members and stakeholders to close ranks and work in unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Professor Yilwatda, who was received on arrival by the Taraba State APC Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, said the party's leadership was committed to strengthening internal cohesion across the country as part of efforts to reposition the APC for future electoral success.
Addressing party faithful shortly after inaugurating the secretariat, the APC National Chairman stressed that unity remained the bedrock of a formidable political party, urging members in Taraba State to put aside personal differences and work collectively to advance the party's fortunes.
He disclosed that the national leadership was developing strategies to further consolidate unity among members nationwide, noting that a united APC would be better positioned to achieve its objectives in the 2027 polls.
Professor Yilwatda also commended the Taraba State leadership of the party for fostering harmony among members, describing the level of cooperation within the state chapter as encouraging.
In his remarks, the Taraba State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, expressed appreciation to the National Chairman for commissioning the new state secretariat, describing the development as a significant milestone in strengthening the party's structures in Taraba State.
The inauguration ceremony attracted party leaders, stakeholders, elected officials, members of the APC, and supporters from across the state.
