The Special Adviser to the Taraba State Governor on Christian Religion Matters, Very Rev. Fr. Sunday Patrick Muke, has called on Christians to place their trust in God amid life's challenges and remain committed to promoting peace, unity and love within their communities.
In a Sunday message to mark the Lord's Day, Fr. Muke drew inspiration from the Gospel reading of Matthew 11:25–30, where Jesus invites the weary and burdened to come to Him for rest.
He said the passage serves as a reminder that, despite the uncertainties and responsibilities of daily life, believers should not lose hope but instead rely on Christ, who offers lasting peace and comfort.
According to him, Christ reveals Himself to the humble and assures those who faithfully follow Him of rest for their souls.
The governor's aide urged Christians to embrace humility, strengthen their faith and extend love to one another while trusting in God's grace.
He also encouraged residents to continue praying and working for peace, unity and the development of their families, communities and Taraba State.
Fr. Muke wished Christians a happy Sunday and prayed for God's blessings upon the people of the state.
