ADAMAWA STATE: Hon. Wampana Congratulates Newly Elected Adamawa Council Officials, Urges People-Centred Leadership.

Grassroots politician and humanitarian activist, Hon. Arc. Aji Paul Wampana, has congratulated the newly elected Local Government Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councillors across Adamawa State, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them through transparent and people-oriented leadership.

In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Wampana described their electoral victory as a reflection of the trust and confidence the electorate has placed in their ability to provide effective leadership at the grassroots.

He said the successful conduct of the elections marks the beginning of a new chapter of development, collaboration and prosperity for communities across the state.

According to him, the newly elected officials should remain committed to addressing the needs of the people by prioritising infrastructure development, improved access to potable water, enhanced security and programmes that will stimulate economic growth.

Wampana further advised the council officials to govern with empathy, transparency and accountability, stressing that the success of their administrations would be measured by the impact of their policies and programmes on the lives of ordinary citizens.

He prayed for divine wisdom, courage and strength for the elected leaders as they assume office, expressing optimism that their tenure would usher in lasting peace, sustainable development and improved living conditions across the local government areas.

The grassroots politician also wished the new council officials a successful tenure, urging them to fulfil their campaign promises and work collectively to advance development at the grassroots level.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. Their primary target was said to be Baba Umaru Gambo, a former youth leader of the community and current Commander of the Taraba Marshal in Kurmi Local Government Area.
