By Jako Keke, April 23, 2026.
Youth leaders from the Bandawa community have endorsed Hon. Bernard Anthony Nuki to contest the House of Representatives seat for the Karim Lamido, Lau and Ardo Kola Federal Constituency, citing the need for effective leadership and grassroots development.

The endorsement was announced the Chairman of Bandawa Community Youths Development Association Mr Beruit Nock during press briefing at the Camp View Event Centre,Mike Six Jalingo on Thursday, describing the move as a “historic moment” in the political evolution of the constituency.

According to the youth leader , the decision to back Nuki reflects a growing demand for purposeful leadership capable of addressing longstanding developmental challenges affecting communities across the three local government areas.

Mr Nock expressed concern over what they described as years of poor representation, alleging that previous leaders failed to deliver meaningful infrastructure, employment opportunities, and social services to the people.

He highlighted critical gaps in road construction, healthcare delivery, and access to functional tertiary institutions, particularly in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, despite its vast landmass and human capital potential.

Similar concerns were raised about Lau and Ardo Kola, where the youths said development has remained stagnant, leaving many communities underserved.

The group also criticised certain political actors, accusing them of promoting leaders who, in their view, have not been transparent about the true state of development in the constituency.

He stressed the need for a “paradigm shift” towards leadership that prioritises accountability, inclusiveness, and tangible progress.

Describing Hon. Nuki as a “team player” with experience in both corporate and public sectors, the youthleader said he possesses the capacity and vision required to reposition the constituency for growth.

The Chairman added that his track record in community service distinguishes him among his peers and makes him a credible candidate for the position.

Mr Beruit Nock called on elders and stakeholders across the constituency to support the movement, assuring that consultations would be sustained to ensure inclusive participation.

He expressed optimism that the endorsement would mark the beginning of renewed hope and development for the people of Karim Lamido, Lau and Ardo Kola Federal Constituency.

Speaking in an interview one of the youths who attended the briefing, expressed confidence on the personality of Hon Bernard Anthony Mcnuki to join the race.

He called for support from all and sundry from the three Local Government Areas that made up the Ardo Kola -Karim Lamido and Lau Federal Constituency to achieve the desired goal.
