Aspirant for the 2027 Taraba State House of Assembly election, Hon.Maxwell Danlami Yahaya Koppi, has unveiled an ambitious “Manifesto of Liberation” aimed at addressing what he described as years of neglect, underdevelopment, and limited opportunities in Gassol II Constituency.
Presenting the document to supporters and stakeholders, Koppi said his candidacy is driven by a collective vision to build a “better, united and prosperous” constituency, stressing that his campaign transcends ethnic, religious, and social divides.
“This manifesto is not just a promise; it is a movement,” he declared. “A movement to liberate our people from poor representation and create real opportunities for growth and development.”
At the heart of the manifesto is a mission to restore hope through effective representation, anchored on core values of unity, transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, and justice.
Hon. Koppi outlined key priority areas, including education, youth empowerment, healthcare, agriculture, and security. He pledged to improve access to quality education through enhanced learning materials, scholarships, and skill acquisition programmes for young people.
On youth development, the aspirant promised to initiate empowerment schemes, support small businesses, and establish vocational training and innovation hubs to tackle unemployment.
In the health sector, Koppi said he would advocate for better-equipped health facilities, while promoting maternal and child healthcare services and community outreach initiatives.
He also emphasized agriculture as a critical driver of the local economy, promising support for farmers through provision of inputs, training in modern techniques, and improved market access for farm produce.
Addressing security concerns, Koppi called for stronger collaboration with security agencies and community-driven peace-building efforts to ensure stability across the constituency.
The manifesto further highlights plans for women and community development, including empowerment programmes for women, support for widows and vulnerable groups, and encouragement of grassroots initiatives.
Koppi assured constituents of transparent leadership, pledging regular engagement, open communication, and representation that reflects the true voice of the people.
Describing his agenda as a “Liberation Movement,” he urged residents of Gassol II to rally behind his vision for change.
“The future of Gassol II is now,” he said. “Together, we can build a constituency where every youth has hope, every woman has support, and every community has a voice.”
