TRAINING: NGO trains 1, 500 youths to drive meaningful change in governance in Taraba.

A non governmental organisation (NGO),  leadtops development initiative on Wednesday trained  1, 500 Taraba youths on the roles young people play to drive meaningful change in governance in Taraba state. 


The Executive Director, Leadtops Development Initiative,  Mr. Nicholas Oshojah Afeso while speaking during the training in Jalingo described youths as partners in governance.

He hinted that youths constitute 75% of population in Nigeria and must must be directly involved in the business governance. 


"Youths are important because they drive a significant or larger  portion of Nigerian population. Youths must participate fully to be able to takeover power from the older people" he noted.


He stressed that the Youths must contribute as voters, community organisers, advocates,  volunteers, innovators, peace builders, policy influencers and as well as leaders of formal and informal space.


"As youths, begin to volunteer and get mentorship from the older ones to prepare to takeover power.Youths must participate in decision making among others" he added. 


He highlighted that the youths must organised themselves, stay informed, engage constructively, uphold integrity and work collectively to influence governance positively at community and state level. 


On his part,  the Chairman Taraba youth development agency, Prince Gara Soyanga Nongha applauded governor Agbu Kefas for establishing Taraba youth development agency. 


He  informed that leadtops was the brain behind the creation of Taraba youth development agency in the state. 


He maintained that leadtops in 2018 pushed a bill to the Taraba state House of Assembly for the establishment of the agency. 


"As youths,  we must support one another,  we can attest to the fact that governor Agbu Kefas has given youths their rightful position in the state. 


Previous administration had no recognition for the youths, but  under governor Kefas today, the  youths has  taken over" he hinted.


He urged Taraba youths to exemplified that they are ready to work in synergy with the current administration to better the lives of both children,  young, women and  adults to move the state to its expected height.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

The leadership of the Jenjo Youth Wing has publicly distanced itself from alleged remarks credited to Mr. Magaji Bulus Gago, popularly known as Max B, against Taraba State Governor, , and the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, . INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
