Green House Rebirth: Governor Kefas Revives Abandoned Agricultural Project in Jalingo.

By Jako.

Once left in disrepair and forgotten after an initial failure, the Green House project in Jalingo has come roaring back to life under the stewardship of Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas.

Originally conceived as a modern agricultural hub for the state, the Green House had fallen into neglect following a series of setbacks. However, Governor Kefas, in line with his administration’s agricultural transformation agenda, visited the site early in his tenure and pledged to bring it back to life.

True to his word, the facility has now been reformed and remodelled. In just a few weeks, it is expected to deliver its first major harvest since its rebirth — a bounty of evergreen vegetables cultivated using cutting-edge greenhouse technology aligned with global best practices.

Speaking about the revival, technical partner and agricultural expert, Ohad Shitlman, was seen savoring one of the many thriving products of the Green House, offering a glimpse into what lies ahead.

“This is not just about farming,” a government source said. “This project will deliver jobs, generate income, and enable knowledge transfer in agricultural innovation. It’s a core part of the larger, ongoing agricultural revolution in Taraba State.”

Governor Kefas’ decision to revive the Green House underscores the importance of continuity in governance and the dangers of abandoning viable development projects. As the harvest nears, the once-dejected facility stands today as a shining symbol of resilience, renewal, and responsible leadership.
