PLATEAU STATE COMMISSIONER FOR HOUSING VISITS PROJECT SITES, EXPRESSES SATISFACTION WITH THE LEVEL OF WORK DONE.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has stated that the well being of citizens of the state is of great importance to him and civil servants are dear to his heart.

The governor said this recently through the Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development, Sylvanus Dongtoe while on a visit and inspection tour with the management of the ministry.

The tour took the team to the famous Tati Hotel at Gada Biyu which was purchased during the administration of former Governor Jonah Jang for conversion into office accommodation for government ministries, departments and agencies.

Dongtoe who was accompanied on the visit by some of the contractors was told that work at site was stopped at the exit of the then Jang administration.

The Commissioner, however, stated that the contract which was re-awarded in 2024 by the Mutfwang administration had reached appreciable level.
According to him, the project, when completed, will address shortage of offices by MDAs, noting that the visit was to ensure that the project was executed according to standard and specification.

The contractors who took the commissioner and his his entourage round the facility highlighted some major challenges being faced such as lack of security and water.

In the same vein, the commissioner and his entourage inspected the ongoing road construction at Guradok, Abbatoir and Millionaires Quarters of Jos South Local Government Area where he explained the projects were part of the urban renewal drive of the administration.

Some members of the communities applauded the developmental strides of the administration and assured the government of their support for government policies and programs.
