Coronation: Former Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly Prof Joseph Albasu Kunini Fetes Prof Ejika Sambo on his turbaning as Dan-Lawan Zing, Muslims on Sallah.

Former Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly Professor Joseph Albasu Kunini has described the investiture of Professor Ejika Sambo as well deserved.

The former Legislator said this in an interview during a reception held at the college of Education Zing in honor of the Provost turbaned as Dan-Lawan Zing.

Professor Joseph Kunini said from the word go, the existing relationship between the Provost and the people of Zing has been envisaged to lead to his recognition.


He described the Celebrant, the Dan-Lawan Zing as a gentleman who is dedicated to his service and humanity. 

Professor is a professional colleague and one person I have known for a long period of time and the recognition done him is timely he said.

Professor Kunini Congratulated the Provost Taraba State College of Education Zing Prof Ejika Sambo on his recognition and subsequent turbaning as Dan-Lawan Zing.

Commenting on this year's Eid el fitr Sallah, the Former Speaker Congratulated Muslim Ummah on the completion of Ramadan Fast one of the five pillars of Islam.

He remarked that the Quran in the Suratul Al-Fitir, Al kashir Al Kamal among others enjoined Muslims to participate in the Holy Exercise.

The former Speaker however encouraged Muslims to Celebrate the Sallah with decorum while reflecting on the virtues Prophet muhammad and to reach out to the needy, show love and compassion to the people.

He wished Muslims a joyous, peaceful and remarkable Sallah Celebration.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.  It adds that Further investigations led to the discovery that the gang's hideout was at Kona Mountain in Jalingo , where additional members of the syndicate were believed to be camped.
