Taraba: Youths Summit

Youths Summit a good Development to Tarabans.

Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria, Taraba State Chapter Prince Gara Soyonga Nongha has described the recent youths Summit hold in Jalingo as a good   step to harness potentials.
The Chairman Stated this in an interview with our reporter in Jalingo.
Prince Gara Soyonga Nongha said the summit which drawn youths from sixteen Local Government and two Special Development areas has provided platform  to equip youths to contribute their quota towards the growth of the state.

The Chairman said such gesture has long been yearn for by youths to enable received training.
He commended Governor Agbu Kefas for championing the course to give youths a sense of belonging.
Prince Gara Soyonga Nongha said youths have a key role to play in building a better Taraba state and must not shy away from making impact in the society.
The NYCN chairman said the Governor in his wisdom nominated him to be part of the twenty one man Committee to organize the Taraba State Youths Economic and Security Summit, saying the event has been an impactful one.

He revealed that the summit has gifted Tarabans as Resource persons who delivered their papers on youth, Economic development as well as security.
He assured the readiness of Taraba State Youths to support Doctor Agbu Kefas led administration to succeed in steering the affairs of the state.
The Chairman however, warned youths to desist from indulging in drugs Abuse and other inimical acts that will destroy their future.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.  It adds that Further investigations led to the discovery that the gang's hideout was at Kona Mountain in Jalingo , where additional members of the syndicate were believed to be camped. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria  Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area. He remarked that the Seminary established in 1946 by the United Methodist Church agencies and donors has been manned by the church and has continued to fund the Seminary that has trained many clergy of the UMC, including him.
