POLITICS: Tula Picks Nomination Forms, Signals Ambition for Ardo-Kola/Karim-Lamido/Lau Seat.

Hon. Meshach Godwin Tula has officially purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest for the Ardo-Kola/Karim-Lamido/Lau Federal Constituency seat, in a move supporters describe as a significant step toward renewed political direction in the area.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by Abdulhamid Bakoji Shehu, Chairman of the Progressive Movement for Better Ardo-Kola/Karim-Lamido/Lau Federal Constituency, who described the action as a milestone in the constituency’s political journey.

According to the statement, Tula’s decision to enter the race reflects growing calls among constituents for leadership that prioritizes effective representation, grassroots development, and inclusiveness.

“This is more than a political formality; it is a bold and decisive step toward the liberation of our constituency,” the statement read, adding that the move aligns with the aspirations of residents seeking responsive and visionary leadership.

The group further noted that Tula’s ambition has ignited optimism across communities in Ardo-Kola, Karim-Lamido, and Lau, with stakeholders expressing hope for a new phase of progress and purposeful governance.

Shehu called on residents to remain united and committed to the collective goal of achieving sustainable development in the constituency.

Hon. Tula is expected to formally declare his candidacy in the coming weeks as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the elections.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. Their primary target was said to be Baba Umaru Gambo, a former youth leader of the community and current Commander of the Taraba Marshal in Kurmi Local Government Area.
