As the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for its primaries scheduled for Saturday, aspirant for the Jalingo, Yorro and Zing Federal Constituency seat, Hon. Princess Leah Solomon Olusiyi, has intensified consultations with party stakeholders across the constituency in a renewed push to consolidate support for her ambition.
The latest round of engagements saw the aspirant interfacing with APC stakeholders and ward leaders from various wards in Zing Local Government Area, where discussions centered on party unity, grassroots mobilization, and the need for inclusive representation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing party faithful during the consultative meeting, Hon. Leah Solomon expressed appreciation to supporters, women groups, youths, and political associates for their unwavering support and confidence in her candidacy.
She described the growing acceptance of her aspiration across Jalingo, Yorro, and Zing as a clear indication that the people desire purposeful and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.
The APC aspirant commended constituents for the show of love and solidarity demonstrated throughout her consultations, assuring them that her ambition remains focused on effective representation, empowerment opportunities, and attracting developmental projects to the constituency.
Hon. Leah further urged supporters to remain steadfast and committed as the party heads into the primaries, stressing the need for unity and peaceful conduct during the exercise.
She also dismissed speculations making the rounds about her alleged withdrawal from the race, describing the rumours as the handiwork of “unscrupulous individuals” seeking to mislead supporters and create confusion within the political space.
“I remain fully in the race and committed to pursuing this mandate with the support of the people. Our movement is growing stronger every day, and by the grace of God and the will of the party members, victory is achievable,” she stated.
Political observers within the constituency believe the continued grassroots consultations by the aspirant may further strengthen her chances ahead of the keenly contested APC primaries.
