The Special Adviser to Taraba State Governor on Christian Religion Matters, Very Rev. Fr. Sunday Patrick Muke, has called on Christians to embrace peace and unity as essential virtues for societal progress.
Father Muke made the call while speaking as Special Guest of Honour at the Easter Combined Service organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jalingo Chapter, held in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
The Easter service, themed “Verdict of Victory” drawn from Romans 4:25, centred on the triumph of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the assurance of victory for believers.
Delivering his goodwill message, the cleric emphasised the need for harmonious coexistence in a world challenged by division and uncertainty. He reiterated that fostering peace and unity remains a core priority of Governor Agbu Kefas, whose administration, he noted, is committed to promoting inclusive governance and strengthening social cohesion across the state.
Father Muke commended the leadership of CAN in Jalingo for organising what he described as a spirit-filled gathering, urging Christians to continually serve as instruments of peace, unity, and hope within their communities.
He further encouraged the faithful to draw inspiration from the message of Easter by upholding values that promote love, tolerance, and collective progress in society.
The Easter Combined Service brought together Christian faithful from various denominations in celebration of the resurrection of Christ and the enduring message of victory it represents.
