The Taraba State Local Government Service Commission has commenced promotion interviews for unified staff across the state’s 16 local government areas, covering the period from 2021 to 2025.The exercise, currently underway at the Commission’s headquarters in Jalingo, is being presided over by Permanent Commissioner II, Alhaji Alhassan Hamman Gassol, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Jibrin Kassim, with the support of the Commission’s Secretary and other directors.
The promotion process began with staff from Ardo Kola Local Government Area, specifically those in the Administration and Agriculture departments.

Addressing the candidates at the commencement of the exercise, Alhaji Gassol and Alhaji Kassim emphasized the importance of transparency and integrity. They directed all staff to present original copies of their credentials and ensure that the information provided in their curriculum vitae is accurate and verifiable.
The Commission warned that it would not tolerate the submission of forged documents or false information, stressing that strict measures would be taken against any staff found culpable.
The ongoing exercise is part of efforts by the Commission to ensure due process, merit, and professionalism in the promotion of local government workers across Taraba State.
