The Spinal Cord Injury Association of Nigeria, Taraba State Chapter, has issued an urgent appeal for assistance for two of its members currently battling critical health conditions.
In a statement released by the Chairperson, Mary James Gaisa, the association called on well-meaning individuals, corporate organizations, and philanthropists to provide immediate support to help save the lives of the affected members.
According to Gaisa, the patients are in dire need of essential medical and welfare supplies, including funds to offset mounting medical bills, wheelchairs to aid mobility, as well as catheters, urine bags, and pampers for daily care.
She stressed that the condition of the patients requires urgent intervention, noting that the burden of care has become overwhelming without external assistance.
“We believe that together, we can make a difference. Government alone cannot do it all, which is why we are appealing to kind-hearted individuals and organizations to come to the aid of these individuals,” she said.
The association emphasized that any form of contribution, regardless of size, would go a long way in improving the health and living conditions of the affected members.
Members of the public seeking to offer support or obtain further information have been advised to contact the Chairperson directly via 08035235940.
The appeal highlights the ongoing challenges faced by persons living with spinal cord injuries, particularly in accessing adequate healthcare and support services.
