POLITICS: PDP Flag Lowers at Taraba Government House as Kefas Officially Joins APC.

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has formally cemented his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with the official receipt of his party membership card.

The card was presented to the Governor by the Chairman of APC Hospital Ward in Wukari Local Government Area, Umaru Tanko, during a brief ceremony held at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo.

Speaking after receiving the card, Governor Kefas said the registration had officially validated his status as a member of the APC, enabling him to participate fully in all party activities. He disclosed that the earlier postponed official defection ceremony would be rescheduled and held at a later date.

Presenting the card, Umaru Tanko described the Governor as a bona fide member of the APC, adding that the party was pleased to formally welcome him into its fold.

Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Barrister Zainab Usman Jalingo, confirmed that Governor Kefas is now a fully recognized and complete member of the APC in Taraba State.

The event was attended by members of the APC State Working Committee, led by the State Secretary, Fidelis Francis.

With his formal registration, Governor Kefas is now eligible to fully engage in all party affairs and has officially assumed leadership of the APC in Taraba State.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
