CHRISTMAS: Taraba Assembly Felicitates Governor Kefas, Residents on Christmas, New Year.

The Taraba State House of Assembly has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to Governor Agbu Kefas, top government officials, traditional rulers and the people of the state, while reaffirming its commitment to people-oriented legislation and support for the state’s development agenda.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Principal Officers, Honourable Members, Clerk, management and staff of the House, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, congratulated Governor Kefas, his Deputy, Alhaji Aminu A. Alkali, the Chief Judge, the Secretary to the State Government, members of the Executive Council, distinguished traditional rulers and other stakeholders on the celebration of Christmas and the approaching New Year.

Bonzena said the festive season was a time to reflect on love, peace and unity, praying that joy and harmony would continue to fill homes and communities across Taraba State.

Reflecting on the past year, the Speaker expressed gratitude to God for the progress recorded by the 10th Assembly, noting that lawmakers remained steadfast in their resolve to prioritize the welfare and well-being of their constituents.

He assured that the House would continue to support the policies and programmes of Governor Kefas aimed at driving development, growth and prosperity in the state.

Looking ahead to the New Year, Bonzena prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for lawmakers to enact laws that would further advance the interests of Taraba State, stressing that unity, cooperation and collective effort were essential to building a brighter future.

He wished the governor, government officials and all residents a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention.
