NOCRELA INAUGURATES TARABA STATE OFFICIALS.

The Northern Christian Religious Leaders Assembly (NOCRELA), Taraba State Chapter, has inaugurated its newly elected officials.

The ceremony, performed by the National Chairman of NOCRELA, Archbishop Johnpraise Daniel, was held at the Deeper Life Camp Ground in Jalingo.

Speaking at the event, Archbishop Daniel said the Association is committed to uniting Christians in Northern Nigeria to speak with one voice. He noted that the core mandate of NOCRELA is to advocate for peace, promote togetherness, and collaborate with other Christian bodies in pursuit of national harmony.

The National Chairman congratulated the newly inaugurated officials and assured them of continuous support from the national headquarters to ensure the successful execution of their responsibilities.

In his presentation titled “Victimisation of Christians in Northern Nigeria: Causes, Preventive Measures, and the Role of Northern Christian Leaders,” the National Director of Legal Aid and Humanitarian Services, Karkaji Dan-Adi, urged Nigerians to reject the integration of former Boko Haram members, bandits, and other terrorist elements into the nation’s security architecture.
He also called on the Church to prepare and sensitize its members on self-defense amid various forms of killings across the country.

Dan-Adi stressed the need for Christians to uphold the sanctity of human life, noting that all souls belong to God and none should be wasted. He further urged the government to declare a state of emergency on fundamental human rights.

In his inaugural address, the newly installed Chairman of NOCRELA, Taraba State Chapter, Reverend Philip Micah Dopah, expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in the new officials. He pledged to work closely with other Christian organisations to build a brighter and more united future for Christians in the state.

Reverend Dopah also thanked the national leadership of NOCRELA as well as Governor Agbu Kefas for their support toward the successful hosting of the inauguration ceremony.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
