The Taraba State Government has formally signed a contract agreement with Moulds Construction Nigeria Limited for the construction of the Wukari–Kente–Chinkai road project.
The agreement, which was signed at the office of the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Development, Hon. Moseh Luka, in Jalingo, marks another milestone in Governor Agbu Kefas’s ongoing drive to expand infrastructure and improve transportation across the state.
Speaking shortly after the signing ceremony, Hon. Luka explained that the 38-kilometre road project forms part of Governor Kefas’s strategic development initiative aimed at addressing transportation challenges and boosting economic activities within the southern zone of the state.
He emphasized that the signing of the contract demonstrates the governor’s resilience and commitment to fulfilling promises made to the people of Taraba. Luka assured that the Ministry will closely monitor the project’s execution to ensure that quality standards are maintained and that the contractors deliver within the agreed timeframe.
Responding, the Chairman of Moulds Construction Nigeria Limited, Engr. Samuel Oyatemi, pledged to deliver quality work in line with the contract specifications. He noted that the company has been active in Taraba for nearly three decades, executing several road projects across the state, and expressed appreciation to Governor Kefas for the continued confidence in their capacity.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Samuel Lauya, described the signing as a significant milestone in Governor Kefas’s efforts to implement projects that directly impact the lives of citizens. He commended the governor’s commitment to infrastructure development and urged the people to continue supporting his administration.
The ceremony was witnessed by representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Bureau for Public Procurement.
The Wukari–Kente–Chinkai road project is among several infrastructural initiatives rolled out by Governor Agbu Kefas as part of his pledge to commence massive road development across Taraba State.
