EASTER HOMAGE : YOWICAN National Leaders pay Easter Homage to Nigeria's First Lady, Remi Tinubu.

The National leadership of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN, led by President, Ambassador Belusomchukwu Enwere, has visited First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu as Christians commemorate Easter.

The visit, which allows them to discuss issues concerning the progress of Christian youth, was graced by Zonal Chairmen of the Six Geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
Speaking, Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, urged youths to promote gender equity, stressing that there are some women who,o if given the opportunity to, will add value to the transformation of the country.

She remarked that while the need to promote Gender equality is being harped on, women should always respect the men to enable them to succeed in leadership.

The First Lady lauded the national leadership of YOWICAN and encouraged them to work in synergy with stakeholders in the country to promote peace at all times.

She urged to initiate programs that will foster unity among the Christian youths and their neighbors in the interest of the progress and development of Nigeria.

Earlier, the Nigeria President of YOWICAN, Ambassador Belusomchukwu Enwere, said the association will continue to work assiduously to support the renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady, who he said is the Grand Patron of the association.

Enwere remarked that the YOWICAN national leaders, in collaboration with Zonal officials, will not relent in their oars to support government policies and programs at all times.

While appreciating the initiative of the First Lady in transforming the lives of Nigerians, particularly women, girls, and youths in the country, she said Christian youths should be actively engaged.

Ahead of the National Youth Conference organized by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the National President of YOWICAN appealed that more slots be allocated for Christian youths to participate.

During the visit, Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was decorated as the Grand Patron of YOWICAN.

Commenting on the development shortly after the visit, the Chairman of YOWICAN Northeast Zone Evangelist Ephesians Jesse appreciated Nigeria's First Lady for hosting the YOWICAN leadership.

Evangelist Jesse remarked that the hospitality accorded the officials showed how much she cared for them as a mother to youths across Nigeria.

The Jalingo Times newspaper gathered that Nigeria's First Lady donated 7 fourteen seater buses to the National leadership of YOWICAN.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
