COURTESY: COMMANDER 6 BRIGADE UWA REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING.


The Commander 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa has reaffirmed the brigade commitment to combatting human trafficking and other crimes in Taraba State. 
The affirmation was made today 26 February 2025, as the brigade played a host to the Commander of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Taraba State Command, Mr Amos Gambo Bako, and his team.
 A visit which was aimed at strengthening collaboration between both agencies in the fight against human trafficking within the state.
Acting assistant Director Army Public Relations 6 Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni disclosed this in a Press statement issued today February 26th,2025.

During the visit, Mr Bako solicited the Brigade’s support in intelligence sharing, security operations, and public awareness campaigns to curb the menace.
 He emphasized the need for synergy between NAPTIP and the Nigerian Army to ensure that human trafficking networks do not thrive in Taraba State. 

In his response, the Commander 6 Brigade, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commended the efforts of NAPTIP in combating human trafficking and assured the agency of the Brigade’s unwavering support.
 He reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to working closely with relevant security agencies to dismantle child trafficking syndicates and other criminal activities within the state.

Brigadier General Uwa further stressed the importance of inter agency cooperation in addressing security challenges and pledged that 6 Brigade Nigerian Army would continue to support initiatives that promote peace and security in Taraba State. 

The visit concluded with both parties expressing their readiness to strengthen collaboration in intelligence sharing, joint operations, and public sensitization to combat human trafficking and related crimes.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
