CHANGE OF BATON: COMMANDANT ANTHONY BALA BITRUS TAKES OVER AS STATE COMMANDANT NSCDC TARABA COMMAND.


Following recent redeployments within the Corps, Commandant Anthony Bala Bitrus has today taken over the reigns of leadership of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Taraba State Command from Commandant Adamu Salihu who was at the helm of affairs in the Command since May 2023.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the Command's Spokesman SC Iliya Samaila and issued to Jalingo Times.

   Speaking at the handover ceremony held at the State Command Headquarters Mile six Jalingo, the outgoing Commandant, Adamu Salihu thanked the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi Mni OFR for the opportunity given to him to serve as the State Commandant NSCDC Taraba State Command, a privilege that only a few Commandants have enjoyed in the Corps.
 Commandant Adamu thanked the officers and men of the Command for their support, loyalty and cooperation during his reign. 
He urged that the same gesture be extended to the new Commandant.
   Commandant Adamu then proceeded to hand over the service flag to his successor, Anthony Bala Bitrus, a sign that he had transmitted command and authority to the new Commandant.

   After receiving the service flag, the new State Commandant, Anthony Bala Bitrus , thanked God and the Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni (OFR) for the opportunity to serve in Taraba.

 He also appreciated his predecessor for his contributions to the advancement of the Corps in Taraba while he held away.

Commandant Anthony then solicited for the cooperation of all officers and men to enable him move the Command forward. " I want us to join hands together to achieve the Corps' mandate as well as the vision of the Commandant General which is to revamp, rejig and restore the Corps Glory.

 The new State Commandant has since assumed office as the 19th State Commandant of the NSCDC Taraba State Command.
