Education: Kurmi Council's Boss was recognized by CRC-N for supporting education in the area.


Chairman of Kurmi Local Government Council Hon Moses Maihankali has been presented with a merit Award for supporting the educational sector.
The management of Smith Comprehensive Secondary School, Baissa made the presentation yesterday during its graduation, speech, prize and award-giving Day in Baissa the Administrative headquarters of Kurmi Local government area.
While Presenting the Award the President of the Christian Reformed Church, CRC-N Reverend Dr Jirapye Isaiah Magaji who was represented lauded the contribution of the Council's Boss for supporting the educational sector in the area.
While Congratulating the Celebrant, Reverend Dr Jirapye Isaiah Magaji urged him not to relent in doing more to ensure the people of Kurmi Local government area particularly the youths have access to quality education.
Speaking, the Chairman of Kurmi Local Government Council Hon Moses Maihankali described education as the bedrock of development and progress.
He Lauded the CRC-N denomination for its commitment to complementing the government's efforts in making education accessible to all.
He urged parents to ensure they support the education of their children, the gesture he described as the best legacy they can bequeath them.
Hon Maihankali congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to always continue to pursue education.
Earlier, the Principal of Smith Comprehensive Secondary School Baissa, Mrs Comfort J.Ngusen appreciated the support the school has enjoyed from spirited individuals and the CRC-N family saying the gesture has added much value to the progress of the school over the years.

She particularly thanked the leadership of the CRC-N through the Director of Christian Education for the encouragement and support of the school.
Mrs Comfort appreciated the CRC-N Regional Church Council, RCC Baissa and Abong for the renovations of some dilapidated structures of the school, particularly the Former Dom Master's quarters as well as CRC-N Local Church Council, LCC Wapan Ngaku and Tudun Beekhan for the renovation of school's Chapel.
The Principal however commended the students for making the school proud through excellent performance in academic activities and urged them to maintain the tempo.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
