Anniversary: NANNM Boss Comrd Pius Merigi Nathaniel commends Governor Agbu Kefas's first anniversary in office.

Chairman National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, NANNM Taraba State Chapter Comrd Pius Merigi Nathaniel has saluted Governor Agbu Kefas for excellent performance in his first anniversary in office.

The Chairman in an interview said the Governor proved that he is set for a serious business in the state.

Comrade Pius Merigi Nathaniel commended Governor Agbu Kefas for the award of renovation of Lissam Hospital in Ussa, and the ongoing renovation of Bali and Gassol First Referral Hospitals on his first anniversary.

The Chairman who also reeled out other achievements in the Education, Agriculture, Security and Human Development said Tarabans should support him in moving the state forward.

While Congratulating the Governor, Comrade Pius reiterated the resolve of the Nurses and Midwives Association to give him the needed support to succeed.

He however appealed to the Governor to consider the Implementation of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure CONHESS for Nurses and Midwives, Uniform and Hazard Allowances of health workers in Taraba State.

The Chairman said following the retirement of Senior Nurses and midwife officers vacuum has been created but is yet to be filled.

He appealed to the Taraba State Governor to direct the employment of more nurses and Midwives to fill the vacancies.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area.
