Taraba State: New Head of Civil Service assumed Office.

New Taraba State Head of Civil Service Mr Paul Maigida Tino has assumed Office.

Speaking during the handling and taking over ceremony the Head of service Paul Tino appreciated the Governor Doctor Agbu Kefas for finding him worthy of the position.

Paul Maigida Tino while calling on Civil servants to be serious with their job,said truancy and absenteeism will not be condone.

He revealed that it is the priority of the present Government in the state to ensure civil servants are trained and retrained for effective service delivery.

He said he will embark on visitation to ministries, Departments and Agencies MDAs in the state to ensure workers are effectively performing their responsibilities as expected.

The Head of Service solicited support and cooperation from civil servants in the state to enable Kefas led government Succeed.

Earlier,the overseeing Head of Service Patricia Danna appreciated God for guiding her overseeing the office.

She Congratulated the New Head of Service on his well deserved appointment and urged all to support him to Succeed.

There were good will messages by the Permanent Secretaries Establishment,Mandpower Development and Training and Secretary Civil Service Commission, Genesis Kwatar, Chiegil Benjamin Joseph and Benjamin Zantimaba who all Congratulated the new Head of Civil Service.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area. He remarked that the Seminary established in 1946 by the United Methodist Church agencies and donors has been manned by the church and has continued to fund the Seminary that has trained many clergy of the UMC, including him.
