Security: Hunters Association Northeast Region Seeks partnership with Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Taraba State Council.

Commander Hunters Association of Nigeria North East Region, Umar Umar has called on media  not to relent in keeping the public abreast of happenings in the society.

The Commander made call when he visited the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Taraba State Council Mathew Eliud Jen at the Press Centre Jalingo.

Umar who is popularly known as Babangida Commander said they were at the NUJ Centre to seek for partnership with the union.

He remarked that the Hunters Association was disturbed by the surging criminalities in Community across Taraba and deem it fit to assist in securing the state.

According to him,their recent outing with the Nigerian Army in some communities in Yorro Local Government Area haa yielded positive results as some kidnapped victims were rescued including the son of the Chief of Kwajji Umaru Buba Nyala who has been two months in his abductors den.

Umar Umar reiterated the commitment of the association to ensure that those terrorising the people are dealt with accordingly.
He appreciated the existing cordial working relationship between the Hunters Association and other security agencies in the state and sued for its sustenance.
Umar called on the public to feed the association with useful information that would led to arrest of criminally minded people most especially informants who aid kidnapping in the society.

The Commander appreciated the commitment of Governor Agbu Kefas in ensuring peace prevails across the nooks and crannies of the state.

He appealed to the State Government to construct office accommodation for the association in Taraba state to for effective service delivery.

Responding,the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Taraba State Council, Comrade Mathew Eliud Jen said the Journalists will continue to give the association needed publicity at all times

He lauded the giant strides of the Hunters Association and Other security agencies in the state for working tirelessly to protect lives and property.

The Chairman called on Governor Agbu Kefas to support the Hunters Association to enable them rid the state of the bad elements.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
