Politics: PDP Youth Leader Aspirant Hon Silas commends peaceful conduct of JYZ bye Election.

People of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing Federal constituency have been applauded for the peaceful conduct of bye Election.

The People's Democratic Party PDP Youth Leader Aspirant Hon Silas S. Tafi-Warwar said this while commenting on the conduct of the bye Election across the three Local Government Areas of Taraba State.

Hon Silas also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Ad-hoc staff and the security for ensuring that the constituents exercise their franchise in a peaceful atmosphere.

The PDP Youth Leader Aspirant said he optimistic that the INEC will declare the winner of the bye Election to fill in the vacuum created following the death of Ismail Maihanci last year.

According to him,the Candidate of the People's Democratic Party PDP Engr Sadiq Tafida will win the seat to continue building on the good legacies of the party in Taraba state.

"Iam hundred percent optimistic that the PDP's candidate will emerge the winner of the bye election and the people of the constituency should expect a different class of legislative duties this time around" He said.

Hon Silas described the PDP candidate as a humble and a youth with the zeal to represent the constituency well at the national Assembly.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
