Transportation: NUJ Taraba State seeks for Partnership with FRSC for Smooth operations.


Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Taraba State Council Mathew Eliud Jen has restated the readiness of Journalists to keep the public abreast of happenings in the society.

Mathew Eliud Jen stated this during familiarisation visit to the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Taraba State Command headquarters in Jalingo.

The Chairman said the core responsibilities of Journalists is to inform,educate, and enlighten the public hence the reassurance for sustaining the tempo by publicising activities of thr Corps.

He told the sector commander that they were in his office to seek for partnership in carrying out their duties and to also appeal that the FRSC Taraba State Command will organise and sponsor training for Journalists in the state on its activities.

Mathew Jen commended the FRSC Taraba State Command for its relentless efforts in protecting lives and property in the state, describing its Ember Month campaign in the state as timely.

Responding, the Commander Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Taraba State Command, Dabba Bello said the command is ready for partnership with NUJ in the state.

Dabba Bello applauded Journalists for publicising its activities in the state, saying it will go a long way to reduce road crashes.

The Sector Commander said the command will soon organised workshop for Journalists in the state to strengthen ties and professionalism in reporting its activities.

Bello while cautioning people against disobeying traffic rules,said there is no satanic operations also known as juju attached to Ember months as being perceived by the public.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria  Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area.
