Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku says education remain key part of his administration.
The Governor was speaking during the inauguration of a Model School in Gembu Sardauna Local Government Area.
He explained that education play a significant role in shaping the society which can not be toy with.
Governor Darius Ishaku enumerated some of his achievements in the education sector to include Model Schools in all the Senatorial Zones,increase in enrollment of pupils and students, renovation of primary and secondary schools.
Others are payment of WAEC fees for students on exchange program, employment of teachers and many others.
He advised the people of Gembu Town to maintain the School.
Commenting, Commissioner of Basic Education Joannes Jigem said the construction of many Primary and Secondary Schools has improved education and as well tackled issues surrounding out of school Children.
The Commissioner also enumerated the introduction of DDI Schools Sports and approval for the age of retirement of Primary Schools teachers from thirty five to forty and age sixty to sixty five as the case maybe.
In his remarks, Representative of Fortress Nigeria Limited,the contracting Company Idris Mamman stated that the Model School has sick bay,Staff quarters, classes and Admin blocks.
He thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for his initiative maintaining that the project will emancipate the people.
Earlier, Caretaker Chairman of Sardauna Local Government Area Abdulahi Jugulde commended Governor Darius Ishaku for siting various projects in Sardauna Local Government Area.
Deputy Majority Leader of the Taraba State House of Assembly Dawud Jedua,Acting Chairman of the People's Democratic Party Abubakar Bawa,Chief of Mambilla Shehu Audu Baju,Lamdo Gashaka Zubairu Hammangabdo Sambo and others attended the ceremony.
