A former aspirant for the Jalingo one Constituency and Senior Lecturer at Taraba State Polytechnic, Suntai Campus, Jalingo, Hon. Kamalu Aliyu Babando, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a goodwill message, Babando commended Muslims for their devotion in observing Ramadan, describing the fasting period as one of the fundamental pillars of Islam that fosters discipline, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal.
He praised the resilience, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by the faithful throughout the holy month, noting that such virtues are essential for both personal growth and national development.
The educationist, however, urged adherents to sustain the spiritual gains of Ramadan by putting into practice the lessons derived from tafsir and other religious teachings. According to him, the post-Ramadan period offers an opportunity for Muslims to deepen their faith and uphold moral values in their daily lives.
Babando further called on the Muslim community to use the festive period to promote peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence across religious and ethnic lines. He emphasized the need to extend acts of charity and compassion to the less privileged, in line with the teachings of Islam.
While wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, he also prayed for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Taraba State and the country at large.
