A suspected fraudster, identified as Sunday N. David, has been arrested for allegedly defrauding a woman of ₦1.2 million under the pretence of securing employment for her twin sons.

Bala said her suspicion grew after months passed without any progress regarding the promised jobs, while the suspect allegedly began avoiding her calls and went into hiding.
The victim further alleged that the suspect worked in collaboration with another individual who suspiciously claimed to be John Machoko in the Ministry of Finance, and together they allegedly orchestrated the fraudulent scheme.
She added that with the help of security operatives, the suspect was eventually apprehended by officers of the Nigeria Police Force at the Jolly Nyame Stadium.
In his response, the Director Salaries , (Computer Unit) Accountant General Office ,Taraba State Ministry of Finance, John Machoko distanced himself from the fraudulent act, saying since the suspect has been nabbed he should be prosecuted after investigation by the police.
Police authorities are expected to continue investigations into the matter, while efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the alleged accomplice.
