YULETIDE: NANNM Taraba Chairman Felicitates Governor Kefas, Others on Christmas, New Year.

The Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNMS), Taraba State Council, Comrade Pius Nathaniel Merigi, has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, and other top government officials.

In a Christmas message made available to newsmen in Jalingo, Comrade Merigi congratulated the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, members of the State Assembly, Commissioners, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, the Head of the Civil Service, Permanent Secretaries, and the entire state workforce on the successful celebration of the 2025 yuletide.

He described Christmas as a season that symbolizes love, sacrifice, peace, and hope, and urged leaders and citizens of the state to use the festive period to reflect on the values of unity, tolerance, and selfless service to humanity.

The NANNMS Chairman commended the Taraba State Government for its commitment to good governance and improved service delivery, particularly in the health sector, noting that nurses and midwives remain key stakeholders in the delivery of quality healthcare services across the state.
Comrade Merigi assured the state leadership of the continued support and cooperation of nurses and midwives in advancing public health and sustaining peace and development in Taraba State.

He prayed that the birth of Jesus Christ would usher in renewed wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the leadership of the state, while expressing optimism that the New Year would bring peace, progress, and prosperity to Taraba State and the nation at large.

He also wished the government and people of Taraba State a peaceful Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

The leadership of the Jenjo Youth Wing has publicly distanced itself from alleged remarks credited to Mr. Magaji Bulus Gago, popularly known as Max B, against Taraba State Governor, , and the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, . INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. Their primary target was said to be Baba Umaru Gambo, a former youth leader of the community and current Commander of the Taraba Marshal in Kurmi Local Government Area.
