Taraba State Head of Civil Service Mr. Paul Maigida Tino says a resource center has been established to train and retrain civil servants. Paul Maigida Tino disclosed this while declaring open the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council Trade Union side Election in Jalingo. The Head of Civil Service said with the establishment of the centre civil servants can now undergo the needed capacity building to contribute positively as technocrats in the state. Paul Commended the existing cordial working relationship between the state and organized labour and sued for its sustenance. The Newly elected officials of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council Trade Union Side Taraba State have been inaugurated. They were inaugurated at Nurse's House Conference Hall Jalingo by the National Returning Officer Barrister Nana Takai. While inaugurating the officials, the returning Officer urged them to be servants and leaders who would represent the interests of workers in the state. In a continued effort to sustain peace and security under the ongoing Operation Golden Peace, troops of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/ Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have achieved another significant success in curbing criminal activities within Taraba State.   Acting on credible intelligence regarding the movement of suspected rustled livestock from Kampanin Zurak in Plateau State into Taraba State, troops on 27 January 2025 intercepted three individuals identified as Sabiu Lawal, Haruna Ayuba, and Yusuf Mukawo, all from Kampanin Zurak.  This is contained in a Press statement issued by the Acting Assistant Director Six Brigade Nigerian Army Public Relations, Captain Olubodunde Oni. A wildfire has razed Garin Mazang Village in Bali local government area destroying houses and food stuffs. The Locals were caught unawares by the surging fire which destroyed the village completely on Thursday, January 23rd,2025 at 2pm. Many only scrabble for safety as the gravity of the surging fire couldn't allow them to pick up their belongings when they noticed that their houses were on fire.  Clergy with the United Methodist Church, Southern Conference, Ishaku Haruna posted pictures of the affected village. From the pictures, one could see how thatch houses were consumed by the fire and the debris of grains and clothes picked from the scenes. This horrible incident has left the villagers hopeless, as many don't have a place to sleep or food to eat.
