Chief of Mumuye Alh Ado Adamu Mazang II says Santii festival is a customary tradition of Mumuye race.
Chief of Mumuye Alh. Ado Adamu Mazang said this year's yam is now free for consumption in Mumuye land and beyond.
The Royal father stated this during this year's Santii festival organised by his Chiefdom in Pantisawa, Yorro local government area of Taraba State.
He said the event holding in October is a customary tradition that gives Right to Mumuye sons and daughters to now eat new yam formally and equally sale some.
Ado Adamu Mazang said this unique practice is aimed at promoting unity, oneness and peace as well as thank God for the years bumper harvest.

He lauded the Mumuye race for sticking to their forefathers tradition which embroidered unity.
Mazang appreciated the Mumuye race playmates the Jenjo and Chamba tribes who graced the event saying this speaks good of Sustenance of love among them.
