Democracy Day: Elect Women into power -Hon Princess Leah O.


The Chief Executive Director of Great Gender Grassroot Foundation, G3F, Honorable Princess Leah Olusuyi Solomon said that the involvement of women in political appointments has been limited.

Princess Leah Olusuyi stated this while baring her mind on democracy day in an interview with our reporter in Jalingo. 

Princess Leah Olusuyi the Gimbiyan Bajama,who is an aspirant for Jalingo- Yoro- Zing Federal Constituency under the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP said women should be given the opportunity to contest elective positions. 

She said Women when in prowess bring in development  that have direct bearing on the masses. 

Leah Olusuyi lamented decline in numbers of women elected into  both the National and State  Assembly in the country. 

She celebrated the Governor, Doctor Agbu Kefas, a younger youth-Governor and urged Tarabans to work with him in harmony towards the success of Taraba State. 

The CEO G3F and a politician  congratulated Nigerians for experiencing twenty four years of  uninterrupted Democratic Governments.

 She stated that Nigerians and her Governments should maintain strategies so that insecurity and insurgence could be reduced to the barest minimum.

She wished Nigerians particularly the people of Jalingo, Yorro Zing federal constituency,in Taraba state a wonderful Democracy Day.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
