EDUCATION:Special Adviser Hails Lau LG Chairman’s 100 Days, Awards ₦2m Nursing Scholarships to 10 Girls.

The Special Adviser to the Taraba State Governor on Christian Religion Matters, Very Rev. Fr. Sunday Patrick Muke, has applauded the Chairman of , Hon. Comr. Peter Julius Vau, for what he described as a remarkable performance within his first 100 days in office.

Fr. Muke gave the commendation while attending the Chairman’s 100 Days Ceremony, where he noted that the strides recorded so far demonstrate dedication, focus, and alignment with the development blueprint of Governor .

According to the Special Adviser, the early achievements of the Lau council boss reflect a commitment to grassroots transformation and effective governance. He said the progress made within such a short time signals promising prospects for sustainable development in the area.

In a significant boost to health and human capital development, Fr. Muke announced scholarships worth ₦200,000 each to ten girls from Lau LGA to study Nursing at the Na'ibi  College of Nursing  Sciences Lau, the gesture amounts to a total of ₦2 million.

To promote unity and inclusiveness, five of the beneficiaries were nominated by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), while the remaining five were nominated by the Muslim Council.

Fr. Muke said the initiative underscores the importance of investing in young girls’ education, particularly in the health sector, while also fostering religious harmony and community cohesion.

He commended Hon. Vau for the “remarkable strides” recorded so far and offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and continued success as he steers the affairs of Lau Local Government Area.

The event drew stakeholders, community leaders, and supporters who gathered to assess the council’s performance and chart a forward-looking path for development.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
