The (APC) in Taraba State has officially endorsed Governor and President for a second term in office, citing their “outstanding leadership and developmental strides.”
The endorsement was announced in Jalingo by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Barrister Ibrahim Elsudi, during a press briefing ahead of the party’s State Congress.
Elsudi said both leaders have demonstrated commitment to governance and national development, insisting they deserve another opportunity to consolidate on their achievements.
According to him, Governor Kefas’ decision to align with the APC has significantly strengthened the party’s structure and broadened its support base across Taraba State. He noted that the governor’s entry into the party injected fresh momentum, unity, and renewed confidence among members.
The chairman commended party stakeholders for the peaceful and successful conduct of ward and local government congresses across the state, describing the process as a testament to the party’s growing internal cohesion.
He further attributed the party’s recent successes to the historic and well-attended rally held in honour of Governor Kefas, which he said marked a turning point for the APC in Taraba.
Elsudi also lauded the governor for his support during the party’s electronic registration and membership revalidation exercise, revealing that Taraba emerged as one of the highest-performing states nationwide in the exercise.
He expressed appreciation to the governor for fostering collaboration between the state government and party leadership, saying the synergy has positioned the APC for greater electoral victories.
The APC chairman explained that the endorsement would enable both President Tinubu and Governor Kefas to consolidate on ongoing projects, complete critical infrastructure, and introduce new developmental initiatives aimed at advancing the progress and prosperity of Taraba State and Nigeria at large.
He called on party faithful across the state to remain united and mobilize support for the two leaders as they pursue what he described as a collective agenda of progress, unity, and national development.
