VALEDICTORY: Zing Council Holds Valedictory Session for Former Chairman, Late Kallamu Alhamdu.

A solemn valedictory session has been held in Zing Local Government Area of Taraba State in honour of late Hon. Kallamu Alhamdu, a former councillor, Council Leader and Chairman of the Zing Local Government Council, in recognition of his service and contributions to grassroots governance.

Late Kallamu Alhamdu, who represented Zing A2 Ward as councillor and rose to become Leader of the Council and later Chairman, was remembered by colleagues and political associates as a committed public servant and community builder.

Speaking during the session, the Leader of the Council, Hon. Victor Matthias, described the late Alhamdu as a servant leader who dedicated his life to the welfare of the people. He said the council organized the valedictory sitting to pay last respects to a senior colleague and former chairman whose leadership impacted many lives.

“This session is to honour a man who gave his time and energy to the service of humanity and the development of Zing,” Matthias stated.

In his tribute, the Chairman of Zing Local Government Council, Hon. Davoro Kekwanya Titus Gwandis, said the life and times of the late former chairman reflected purpose and dedication. He noted that God makes no mistakes and urged family members and associates to take solace in the deceased’s legacy of service between 1999 and 2003.

He prayed for the repose of his soul and expressed appreciation for the developmental strides recorded during his time in office.

Also speaking on behalf of former council members who served between 1999 and 2003, Hon. Luka Hassan David commiserated with the people of Zing and the immediate family of the deceased. He recalled Alhamdu’s contributions as both councillor and council chairman, noting that his leadership style fostered unity and progress in the area.

Late Hon. Kallamu Alhamdu died on January 26, 2026, at the National Hospital, Abuja. He is survived by family members and political associates.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.
