ROYALTY: Lamdo Gashaka Family Appreciates Dignitaries, Gov. Kefas, Others Over Grand Wedding Ceremony in Serti.

 The Lamdo Gashaka family has expressed profound gratitude to political leaders, royal fathers, eminent Nigerians, clerics, friends and well-wishers for their overwhelming support and prayers during the recent wedding ceremony of their children, Munir Mustapha Hammangabdo and Sa’adatu Zubairu Hammangabdo.

Speaking on behalf of his nuclear and extended family, Alhaji (Dr.) Zubairu Hammangabdo Muhammad Sambo, the Lamdo Gashaka, said the matrimonial ceremony, held on January 31, 2026, in Serti—the administrative headquarters of Gashaka Local Government Area—was a huge success due to the goodwill and solidarity shown by dignitaries from across the country.

He particularly appreciated the delegation that represented Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, as well as the presence of former Governor of the state, Jolly Nyame (Dan Iyan Gashaka). According to him, the attendance of several royal fathers and traditional rulers added prestige and colour to the event.

Among those acknowledged were the Gara of Donga, the Chief of Mambilla, the Chief of Ibi and the Kur-jibu, alongside other revered monarchs from across Nigeria. These included the Emir of Azara in Nasarawa State; the Chief of Bwari in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; Emirs of Gusau and Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State; Gwoza and Biu in Borno State; Amna Shelleng, Murum Mbula, and Gangwari Ganye in Adamawa State; as well as the Emir of Funakaye in Gombe State, among many others.

The Lamdo Gashaka also extended special appreciation to the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, in collaboration with the Tukur and Tukur Foundation, for organising a free medical outreach for the people of Gashaka. The outreach, which ran from Monday, January 29 to Sunday, February 1, 2026, provided much-needed healthcare services to residents of the area.

He noted that the wedding ceremony and the accompanying humanitarian intervention would remain indelible in the memories of the family and the people of Gashaka, describing the occasion as a moment of gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWA) and humanity for a major milestone achieved.

“We remain deeply grateful for the love, generosity and best wishes showered on us. May Almighty Allah (SWA) reward everyone abundantly,” he said.

The ceremony drew widespread commendation, reinforcing the spirit of unity, cultural heritage and communal support among diverse communities across the country.
