CHURCH: ECWA Inaugurates Governing Board for Gowans Microfinance Bank.

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has inaugurated a new Governing Board for Gowans Microfinance Bank as part of efforts to strengthen the institution’s governance and operational efficiency.

The inauguration ceremony was conducted by the ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat, in the presence of members of the ECWA Executive Committee.

According to ECWA leadership, the newly constituted board is expected to provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the smooth running and growth of the microfinance bank.

Those inaugurated into the board include Dr. Yohanna Arin as Chairman, alongside Directors Mr. Christopher Dow, Mr. Markus Zakariya, Mr. Ibrahim Yonana Dikko, Mr. Friday Iveh Mamma, Mr. Yohanna Rabo, and Dr. Kingsley Dickson. Barrister Jinaka Salisu was appointed as Company Secretary.

Addressing the board members during the ceremony, Rev. Dr. Bagat charged them to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, transparency, and integrity. He described their appointments as not only administrative but also spiritual service, urging them to see their roles as a ministry before God.

He encouraged the board to be courageous and principled in guiding the bank’s affairs in a way that reflects ECWA’s mission and values.

The ECWA President also expressed appreciation to the appointees for accepting the responsibility to serve and prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for the board as it begins its assignment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
