TARABA: GOVERNOR AGBU KEFAS PERFORMANCE HAS BEEN DESCRIBED AS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has been applauded for his administration's developmental strides across all sectors of the state.
In separate remarks by community leaders, youths and businessmen, the governor was commended for making tangible efforts towards transforming the state.
In an interview with our correspondent, the Acting District Head of Jen Kaigama District in Jen,  Karim Lamido Local Government Area,Mr Samuel Dennis lauded the governor's initiatives in the Education and security sectors, particularly the free education policy of his administration, describing it as a huge relief for parents and enabling massive enrollment of pupils and students in the last few years.
Similarly, the governor has been praised for slashing the tuition fees of tertiary institutions across the state by 50%, making education easily affordable and accessible for students in the state.
The people however, appealed to governor Kefas lead administration to improve on the road infrastructure network in the state to ease the transportation difficulties being faced by farmers and traders especially in the rural communities. 
 Speaking on the issue, a trader in Karim Lamido, Mr Pheebemi Dimas expressed concern on the deplorable nature of roads in the rural areas, the agricultural hubs of the state, making the movement of goods and services very difficult for farmers and traders. 
He commended the recent flag off of road projects by the governor in Wukari, describing it as a step in the night direction and further appealed to the state government to extend similar gestures to other parts of the state inorder to carry everybody along.

RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria  Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area. He remarked that the Seminary established in 1946 by the United Methodist Church agencies and donors has been manned by the church and has continued to fund the Seminary that has trained many clergy of the UMC, including him. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.  It adds that Further investigations led to the discovery that the gang's hideout was at Kona Mountain in Jalingo , where additional members of the syndicate were believed to be camped.
