The Allied People’s Movement, APM has intensified its political activities in Taraba State as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections, reaffirming its commitment to good governance and effective representation through credible candidates.
Established eight years ago, the APM has steadily expanded its presence across Taraba state and now boasts functional branch leadership in all sixteen local government areas of Taraba.
Party officials say this statewide structure positions the APM as a growing force in the state’s political landscape, with a clear focus on grassroots mobilization and inclusive participation.
According to the party, its membership strength in Taraba State has surpassed 7,000 registered card-carrying members, a figure the leadership describes as a reflection of increasing public confidence in the party’s ideals and vision.
The APM operates on the core principles of “Nigeria First,” anchored on integrity, sacrifice, and service, which it says guide its political engagement and policy direction.
As the countdown to the 2027 polls gathers momentum, the party has called on Tarabans from all walks of life to join its “train,” stressing that it remains open to all citizens who share its vision for transparent governance and people-oriented leadership.
The party leadership emphasized that the APM is not restricted by ethnicity, religion, or social status, but welcomes all who are committed to national and state development.
Registration of new members, which has commenced in earnest, is ongoing daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm on all working days.
Interested individuals are encouraged to visit the party’s state secretariat located beside Nobis Eye Clinic, Mile Six, Jalingo, or any of the APM branch offices situated at the various local government headquarters across the state.
The Allied People’s Movement was introduced into Taraba State under the leadership of Hon. Prince Bako Jonah, JP, the State Chairman of the party, who has been credited with driving its expansion and consolidation at the grassroots level.
Party officials say the current phase of mobilization is aimed at strengthening internal structures ahead of full-scale political engagement as the 2027 elections approach.
With its expanding membership base and statewide presence, the APM says it is positioning itself as a viable platform for Tarabans seeking an alternative political voice rooted in integrity, sacrifice, and service.
