The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has invalidated all appointment letters earlier issued to applicants in the ongoing 2025 civil service recruitment exercise.
The Commission made this known in a statement, explaining that the decision affects all appointment letters, including those that are yet to be collected by applicants.
According to the statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Adamawa State Civil Service Commission, Abubakar Umar Maiha., the action followed recent reports as well as a comprehensive review of internal administrative processes within the Commission, which revealed irregularities in the recruitment exercise.
It disclosed that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has directed the Commission to revert to the original list of successful candidates earlier published online weeks ago, in order to ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility in the recruitment process.
The Governor also ordered a thorough investigation into what the Commission described as an “insertion and omission saga” that trailed the issuance of the appointment letters.
The Commission noted that the measure was taken to safeguard the integrity of the civil service recruitment exercise and to guarantee that only qualified and deserving candidates are given the opportunity to serve the state.
It assured applicants that further information regarding the issuance and collection of new appointment letters would be communicated in subsequent official bulletins.
Applicants and members of the public were advised to rely solely on the Commission’s official websites for accurate information, stressing that its press release page remains the only authorized channel of engagement with the public.
