McNuki Commiserates with Sanwi Monarch, Meets Mayolope Stakeholders…Reaffirms commitment to inclusive representation and development.

Hon. Benard Anthony Nuki, popularly known as McNuki, has paid a condolence visit to the Paramount Ruler of Sanwi Chiefdom, His Royal Highness Pastor Haniel H. Banti, to sympathize with him over the demise of his wife, Her Royal Majesty Kpansuribi Hinlewheni Banti.

During the visit yesterday, Hon. Nuki expressed heartfelt condolences to the monarch, the royal family, and the entire Sanwi Chiefdom, describing the late queen as a virtuous woman whose legacy of peace, compassion, and devotion to community service will continue to be remembered.

He explained that the visit was both an act of solidarity and an affirmation of the longstanding bond between him and the Sanwi royal family. The condolence call also provided an opportunity for Hon. Nuki to formally inform the royal father of his intention to contest for the seat of Member, House of Representatives, representing Ardo-Kola, Karim Lamido, and Lau Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

In his response, HRH Pastor Haniel Banti appreciated the visit and offered prayers for divine guidance, wisdom, and success in Nuki’s political journey, while encouraging him to remain steadfast in his vision of service to the people.

Continuing his political consultations, Hon. Nuki later met with critical stakeholders in Mayolope Ward of Lau Local Government Area, where discussions centered on developmental challenges facing the constituency and possible solutions.

The House of Representatives hopeful reiterated his commitment to servant leadership, inclusive governance, and sustainable development, assuring stakeholders of purposeful representation if given the mandate in 2027.

The visit and consultations, according to observers, underscore Hon. Nuki’s grassroots engagement approach and his resolve to build broad-based support ahead of the polls.

RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria  Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.  It adds that Further investigations led to the discovery that the gang's hideout was at Kona Mountain in Jalingo , where additional members of the syndicate were believed to be camped.
